Hey Everyone!
I just wanted to let everyone know that yesterday i was not a total lazy bum!
AHHH!
i know right?
I actually did something that
many wouldn't do on a rainy icky
day well....
actually lots love it so much,
but me, the girl whose hair
gets frizzy with just one drop of
rain, doesn't do!
I ran a 5k!
Did everyone hear that?!?!?
Yes!! i know!
and it only took... well 36 minutes(;
Yes, a 70 year old man did beat me, but let me tell you he was sprinting for his life out there!
and i was just trying to hike up the huge mountains that seemed
to be appearing out of no where.
I have to say if you have never ran one you have never felt so proud/thirsty/tired in your life;)
ok well for a 16 year old girl!(: I mean
I did the race with my daddy he is a good runner, so he actually was practically walking while i was really trying.
Now this isn't my first race I actually have done an 8k but lets just say little kids beat me in that race. It definitely didn't give me any satisfaction of winning;) or beating anyone...
but don't get me wrong
I Liked doing that race!
Me and My friends pinked out the race
with hot pink E-V-E-R-Y T-H-I-N-G.
it was more of the lets see how long 5 miles can actually take us kind of race...
while my brother
had finished the whole 8k we were still lingering on our
3rd mile;)
My brother made sure to rub
that in a little too well
after we finally went through the
finish line...
Uhhh Little Brothers!
We were definitely the winners...
well at least in our own heads!
BUT... I Know we definitely had winning outfits right?!?!
(:
hehe..
first tip if your preparing for a race...
actually train.. do not just
wing it because let me tell you
I thought i could do the 5k no problem because of my experience with the
8k.
Yeah Sure. Definitely NOT.
second make sure you dress for the weather
Unlike my 8k experience that had crisp yet pretty blue skied weather my 5k was
a rain filled cold icky grey skied day that didn't seem to
help my unpreparedness.
Thinking I would be just fine with shorts and a cut off sleeve shirt wasn't the best plan when
it started down pouring on
me and those thin clothes
didn't hold any heat WHATSOEVER.
third when you are coming to the finish line smile really big and pretend that the race was the easiest thing you have ever done;)
Unlike me who looked like they were
either about to
die of thirst
or about to die from running.
Lets just say I didn't follow the third
tip at all!
So better luck with your next race(:
I'd love to hear about your either successful or totally lame running experience
Comment below!
Well that's all for now(:
